| The company was
founded in 1947 by Mr Pierre Meignen. His commitment to
the food industry caused him to be among the first to
export fruit and vegetables by boat to Africa and the
west Indies. Now in is fiftieth year, the company’s business extends throughout Europe, involving both import and export. Located in the heart of the Nantes production area, it has the advantage of being able to control the quality of its produce. For its business outside the Nantes area, quality control is carried out by partners and by regular visits at different stages as the produce ripens . Its service to customers continues throughout the years by means of imports or through partnerships with producers in the other production regions of France. Each one of the 9 people who form part of the company manages his or her own customers, in terms of both supply and logistics. This expertise, acquired over its fifty years has enabled MEIGNEN to extend its Know-how into Eastern Europe.
